Since we are currently, at the time of this writing, officially into the 4th quarter of 2011 that can only mean one thing is upon us, the holiday season. The holidays are notorious for big name releases for video games and new Kinect games coming out are no exception. Though the Kinect for XBOX 360 was released less than a year ago, it currently holds the world record for the fastest selling electronic device thus far. It is still extremely popular and there are several upcoming Kinect games that people are anxious to get their hands on.
There are several new Kinect games coming out that have no release dates thus far, we only know that they are scheduled for the 4th quarter of 2011. Some of them include “Kinect Sports: Season Two” and “Kung-Fu High Impact”. Other upcoming Kinect games have months of release, but no official dates as of this writing. For October, 2011, you can expect some like “Hulk Hogans Main Event” and “MotionSports – Adrenaline”.  In November, 2011, you can expect “Nickelodeon Dance” and “Rapala for Kinect”. All of these will surely be out by the holiday shopping season.
If you are looking for some highly sought after upcoming Kinect games like “Fable: The Journey”, which is exclusive for XBOX 360 as well as Kinect, you will have to wait until 2012. No exact date has been announced for this game. Another game that is surely to be a hit is “Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Future Soldier”. It is expected in March of 2012, but will not be an exclusive to the XBOX 360 family.
If you are looking for different or unique Kinect games, there are several new Kinect games coming out that cater to the unusual as well. One of these is called “Deepak Chopra’s Leela”. This game will be more of an experience than a game actually. It is described as an interactive journey and will teach even beginners the art of meditation and show ways to bring balance to your life. “Leela” will be released for Kinect on November 15th, 2011. “Raving Rabbids: Alive Kicking” is another upcoming game for the Kinect. It is also a bit unusual based on the description. You may be familiar with the Raving Rabbids from the Wii system, but they are refreshed and revived for the Kinect. It is due out November 1, 2011. Make sure you are putting these games on your holiday list, both to give to your loved ones or to receive as gifts.
