The 2011 Oscars were a celebration of 83 years of awards to the best of film. From the best actors, actresses, movies and scores, the list of Oscar winners 2011 featured only the top talent in the world of film. When it came to the Oscar documentary nominees 2011, the field was filled with five top films. All five of the Oscar documentary nominees 2011 were “Wasteland”, “Restrepo”, “Inside Job”, “Gasland”, and “Exit Through The Gift Shop”. Of all of the Oscar documentary nominees 2011, “Inside Job” came out on top as the winner.

The rest of the Oscar awards were quite exciting. Some very good films came out the clear winners and others were left to leave with nothing. The list of Oscar winners 2011 includes some of the best and brightest of Hollywood. The top winner of the night was the movie “The King’s Speech” which won the Best Picture award, beating out nine other movies. Colin Firth, the lead actor in the movie “The King’s Speech” also walked away with the Best Actor award for his role in the movie. Best Actress went to Natalie Portman for her role in the movie “Black Swan”. Best Supporting Actor was given to Christian Bale for his role in “The Fighter” and Best Supporting Actress went to Melissa Leo for “The Fighter”.

Continuing the list of Oscar winners 2011, Tom Hooper won the Best Director Oscar for the movie “The King’s Speech” and the song “We Belong Together”, from “Toy Story 3” came out as the winner of the Best Original Song Oscar. Randy Newman wrote both the music and lyrics for the song.  The Oscar for Best Film Editing was awarded to Angus Wall and Kirk Baxter for their work on “The Social Network” and the Oscar for Best Visual Effects went to Paul Franklin, Andrew Lockley , Chris Corbould, and Peter Bebb who were all involved with the movie “Inception”. Best Costume Design was given to Colleen Atwood for “Alice in Wonderland”.

Rounding out the list of Oscar winners 2011 were Rick Baker and Dave Elsey winning Bests Makeup for the movie “The Wolfman”, Richard King for Best Sound Editing in the movie “Inception” and Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross were the Oscar winners for Best Score from the movie “The Social Network”. Best Original Screenplay went to “The King’s Speech” and the Best Adapted Screenplay Oscar was awarded to “The Social Network”.
