Many people may be interested in making homemade hair conditioner. Making homemade conditioner can save you money and can be much healthier for your hair than the over the counter hair conditioner. With some great natural conditioner recipes available for all hair types, you can certainly find ways to make some homemade hair conditioner, possibly with items you already have in your kitchen. If you need to purchase the essential oils listed below, check out a health food store in your area.

If you have normal hair, a natural conditioner recipe is as follows: in a bowl, mix 2-3 tbsp of warm water, 1 egg yolk, 1 tbsp protein powder and 1 tbsp of jojoba oil. Once mixed, add 5 drops each of sage essential oil and spearmint essential oil. You need to use this as soon as you make it as it can go bad if not used immediately. You should leave it in your hair about 5 minutes then rinse out.

A homemade hair conditioner for dry hair is similar to the one for normal hair. You can make it by mixing in a bowl 2-3 tbsp of warm water and 1 egg yolk. To that add 1 tbsp of aloe vera gel, 2 tbsp of protein powder and mix. Add 7 drops myrrh essential oil and geranium essential oil. Mix that together and use the conditioner immediately.  The protein powder and egg are very good at strengthening the strands and the oils help stop dry hair.

An amazing homemade hair conditioner for color treated hair is here:  in a bowl mix 2-3 tbsp warm water, 1 egg yolk, 2 tbsp protein powder and 1 tbsp jojoba oil. To that mixture add 3 drops of rose-otto essential oil and 1 drop of patchouli essential oil. With this one, after you have washed your hair, apply this conditioner and cover your hair with a plastic shower cap. Keep a heated towel on your head around the shower cap for 1-2 hours. You will probably have to keep heating the towel throughout the process.

In addition to the ones listed above, there are many more natural conditioner recipes. Searching online is a great way to find them as well as trying traditional recipes like applying a cup of mayonnaise to your hair or putting pure egg yolks on your hair. The protein in the eggs and the oils in the mayonnaise are great for your hair and they can make it shiny and strong.
