Young men and women who aspire to enlist in the armed forces today will face a daunting task when, upon graduation from high school , college or university are presented with an aptitude test along with their respective applications.  These tests, known as ASVAB or the Armed Forces Vocational Aptitude Battery tests, are among the most difficult for which to pass.   They carry with them every nervous anticipation of the armed forces applicant who look for means by which to prepare for it.  Fortunately, as others have gone on before, the need for a preparation means precipitated the much needed ASVAB study guide.

So just what exactly is the ASVAB?  The ASVAB is a test that is administered by the United States Military and is used to measure the mental ability and the intelligence quotient (known popularly as the IQ test) of applicants as part of the application process for entry into the American armed forces.  It gages the qualifications of the applicant for the tasks within the armed forces and the overall eligibility of the applicant for entry into the particular branch of the military that is being applied for.  The ASVAB test was created in the 1960’s by the Department of Defense and has over the years since evolved into the format for which it is known today.  Composed of the following nine examinations;

  • Work knowledge,
  • Arithmetic reasoning,
  • Automotive and Shop Information,
  • Electronics Information,
  • Paragraph Comprehension,
  • Mathematical knowledge,
  • General science,
  • Assembling Objects, and
  • Mechanical comprehension.

The ASVAB is mandatory for entrance to the military.  In response to the ASVAB, for which a failure to pass results in the failure of the application process , an ASVAB Study Guide was created to prepare the applicants for the actual exam.  In the ASVAB Study Guide Review, it was found that those whom had taken this preparation course could see their armed forces qualification test scores increase by a further 30 percent!   Along with its application to the military, the Study Guide Review finds that the success of this tool with respect to the military, it is also utilized by many counselors in high schools across America to help students identify their strengths and weaknesses for any of a variety of civilian occupations as well.  The Study Guide Review found that the practice courses offered in the ASVAB Guide covers all of the areas that are presented in the actual exam and improves the success of applicants over nearly 99 percent of those who take the exam prior to entrance into the armed forces.  The practice exam mirrors that of the actual exam, covering all 9 topics and is administered in the same timed fashion as that of the exam as well, with a time to complete of only three hours.

The ASVAB Study Guide Review maintains that the cost of the online study guide program is inexpensive compared to other certified schools and provides a larger opportunity for successful entry into the military, and it also improves the opportunities for students considering civilian applied careers as well.  Along with the usual high school curriculum, it is an indispensible tool that has helped many students to achieve more civilian and military opportunities than those that don’t prepare for the ASVAB.  The ASVAB Study Guide is therefore, a staple of any students ambition toward a career that they choose, be it military, or civilian.
